I've searched the forums for this and was unable to find a solution. I'm a BB (7100i) virgin and I cannot figure out how to set it to play a ringtone upon receiving a voicemail message - NOT new emails and other messages, voicemail only.

I'll be very greateful for any help!

on a 7130 it vm comes in as a SMS msg.

You can change all that under your active profile setting.

If I recall correctly (used to use a 7100i), it does the same thing on the 7100i, except for the 7100i it's a MMS message (a distinction without a difference in this case). So there's no way to set a voicemail alert separately from other MMS alerts.

Perhaps it's a BB thing, but it makes no sense to me why it wouldn't be listed as a voice mail event. Anyway, still love it! ;)
