Using Nextel MMS on 7100i. Anyone have an idea how I can change my configuration so that my name appears on the messages instead of phone@messaging.nextel.com?

I know how to add subscriber names on regular Nextel units but I'm at a loss here.

depends on whom you send messages to. Other MMS enable Nextel users will have your name show up - if you are in their phone book. Users with 2way or sms will only receive that address.

Yea I tried and I couldn't find a way. Some peeps I mms don't have nextel so they don't get the name.

I think it's ridiculous that NEXTEL is doing this. They are obviously using an email transport for sending their MMS/SMS messages and charging $5 a month for it. We are already paying for full internet access, you might as well just compose MMS messages as emails to the ##########@provider.com or ###########@teleflip.com.
