I am moving from New Jersey to Charleston, SC within the week. When I looked at the T-Mobile coverage map... I freaked out. All it is is the 850 mhz roaming. How (I am assuming, negativley) will this impact me? Is the EDGE network still available? Will my BlackBerry work as well as it does here in New Jersey? Any help is greatly appreciated, especially input from T-Mobile customers in SC.

T-Mobile doesn't use 850 MHz.

It may not impact you at all. I roam on Cingular's network all the time and am able to use all the Blackberry features.

Same here...I live in NC (no T-Mobile presence) and roam on Cingular whenever at home. No problems from me, except occasionally getting stuck on GSM.

They allow 850mhz roaming. I diddn't see 850mhz roaming when i went to t-mobiles coverage tool
compass.t-mobile.com though.

Cingular is the 850Mhz roaming. Two people have spoken with their personal experience.

Yes, you'll be able to roam with no probably at all. My coworker goes there all of the time and has no problem with service. Don't worry!
