my unlocked 8700c broke and i took it back to the cingular store today where they hapily replaced it (less than 30 days old)
i did my last back up 3 days ago so i am ok on my contact list and my emails are all on my outlook as well.

problem is i need to wait for tuesday to call cingular to get the unlock code since i use mine on t-mobile.

anways this is my question: i had upgraded to the testra OS on my other phone, when i do a restore will the new phone have telestra or will i need to reload the os too?

will my ringtones cary over?

how are you having cingular unlock the phone? and how did u have cingular replace the phone?

You will have to upgrade your new phone to Telstra.

The ringtones are stored in the "Content" store; if you restore that from a backup of your ofiginal phone, it will move over.
