Default Delay on BES

Is it normal for their to be a delay between the relaying of messages once they hit your Outlook inbox, or should it be instantaneous when it shows up on your handheld?

Depends on what your set up is. I have a BES and I get email on my device before I get it in Outlook. A friend of mine has the Redirector and he has to reconcile to get his messages.

Exchange -> BES -> RIM Data Centre -> Your carrier -> your BB

It is rarely "instantaneous".

Should be fairly fast. I normally receive messages within a couple of seconds after they hit my Lotus Notes inbox.

Yes - That is normally the case where I get it before it hits my inbox, but I have several messages in my inbox and they haven't hit my Blackberry in about an hour.

Do you have any filters set that would stop certain messages from being forwarded to the BlackBerry?

Default RE - Filters

The only filters that are setup are the standard MX logic filters to catch spam. But theoretically if I can see the messages in my Inbox on Outlook then BES should be pushing them out to my Blackberry, right?

Have you recently restarted your exchange server? I noticed that if we restart our exchange server without restarting the BES there is a delay in getting messages to the BBs.
