Which address are you sending it to? Are you sending it to your normal email address or your BB's SMS address? I'm not sure how Cingular formats their SMS addresses, but with T-mobile the format is [your 10 digit phone number]
I have only been successful at receiving wav files that are sent via MMS. If I send them via regular email I canxxx8217;t open them.
Here's how to send an MMS with a wav attachment (These instructions are for a 8700g on T-mobile):
In order to send via MMS you must send an email with your wav file attached to [your 10 digit phone number]@tmomail.net
You should receive the MMS message on your BB with an option to play the wav file. NOTE: You will be charged for a SMS message each time you receive one of these messages.
Please keep me posted on your success. I have been having intermittent problems sending wav files and I'm trying to figure out how to get it working consistently.
