Please Login to Remove!

Also my first Blackberry ever! I've been living in these forums for the past few days in anticipation, i've read all the FAQ and stuff bbut... If there are any general tips/tricks/things I should know to do right after I crack open the box please post 'em here. Really, any words of wisdom would be great.

Thanks!!!

Take it out of the box and start playing around with it, when you get questions come here and search for answers. Finding this forum was the only tip you needed, it has made my 8700 experience much better and it is my first bb also.

See this tips section of the forum, some great links in there if you have not seen it yet:

Have fun!

Download Telstra. I like it because it allows you to turn your Data off so you can leave work at home.

Play with it. Figure it out. Have fun. And then when you're ready for some seriously useful software, download PocketDay.

Wow, got it in and am blown away. The thing is MUCH better looking then I expected and MUCH smaller. The screen is the best i've ever seen. Thanks for all the replies everyone, i'll take your advice and ask questions when I run into trouble... btw, i've been searching the forums and I know that its been discussed to death but I couldn't find the answer to this specific question...

Can I transfer mp3 ringtones to my blackberry through the usb cable?

Thanks for all of your help!

No you can't. You have to post them on the web and then surf to the link with your 8700 to download. Yahoo Briefcase is free and a good option for that.
One more thing: consider a screen protector while your screen is still scratch-free. Search here on Screen Patronus for a good choice.
