Default Carry cases and magnets

I just got the BB 8700 and a BB case with clip. I was wondering if having the screen pointing outward (screen and back of magnet touching) would cause problems in the longer term? Just curious. Thx.

The holster is designed to have your BB facing towards your body. A few of the members around here did otherwise and had issues about scratches on their BBs.

If what you are looking for is what I "THINK" you are looking for, try other holster besides the OEM swivel holster that came with your unit.

Check the sponsors in this forum. You'd find a few available.

I would never have my screen facing outward because I wouldn't want to hit the screen on something while walking. I'd rather take my chances hitting the battery door up against something.

Ahh...true, better the battery cover than screen. I ordered an extra cover while I was at it....what the hell, I figured I may as well add things for the shipping costs. You guys are right though, even though the BB is protected front and back by the leather, I decided to point the screen in.

Actually I was going to buy one from Fortte but can't decide on which one or maybe one that would make me go....aha! that one.
I would want it to protect it all around, BB mostly front and back aside from elastic part. I would want a flap like the BB but use a snap or velcro instead. Somehow, I have issues with a magnet being so close to a device with electronics, speaker, lcd screen. I like the BB case because its low profile and doesn't stick out. I also don't want that button where you can remove the case off the clip. I guess that's why I got the BB Swivel.
Obviously Fortte is doing a great job of releasing lots of models....I just think I'm still waiting for one that had all the elements I wanted on it. Damn, I'm picky!

I have also have a custom case for my BB from Fortte and waiting for 2 more (one is a Father's Day gift for my dad's Razr). The 2 cases I have for my BB's are Open Face Cases with screen protectors built in but I think you can also get this for an 8700 series BB. Salo and Monica are wonderful at working to get you the options you want on any case. I just wish that they would provide the screen protector as a standard part of Open Face Cases.

This case allows you to fully use the phone while leaving it in the case. You have access to the keypad, escape button, trackwheel, mini USB charging port and headset port. The screen protector I had put in both BB cases is just a sheet of plastic that is cut to fit the front of the case and protects the screen from food, dirt, scratches, etc.

LOL Crimson I'm picky too. That's why I had 2 cases built with screen protectors and personalized with my name. With my first case I chose the standard Black. This time, and for extra savings, I'm going with personalization and Old Fashion Chocolate.
