Wirelessly posted (7105t: BlackBerry7100/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

You can download yahoo messenger from the blackberry website and ramble for aim. Both of them are free. Some users on the forum also find that yak on works wells for them and it is a one time fee of $20.

You can google ramble or you might find the link for it in a search on the forum. It has been mentioned on the forum previously.

from what i remember from threads i've read Cingular doesn't support Yahoo! messanger (or any other IM products) - so if they don't work they won't be able to help you find out why

Dare I ask, do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?

WebMessenger
IM+
VeriChat
Ramble IM

Pick your poison, all usless to you unless you have a BlackBerry Data Plan, all should be fine on Cingular.

When I had Cingular, I used instant messengers on my blackberry with no problem at all. I never had an issue with it at all. I have also used ramble, verichat, yak on, and im+ on my Cingular blackberry when I was with Cingular.
