Default New user here .... quick question

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Blackberry 8700c. I will be using this mainly for work, the BB will be synced with our BES so I can get all my email, contacts, etc from the server in real time.

My question is can you have BIS AND BES on your Blackberry? In other words, can I check my work email (which I get from corporate) and also get my personal email without it going through the BES server. I am paying for this device and service on my own, with no help from my company so I want to be able to use it for work AND my personal stuff but I don't want my personal email going through my corporate server.

Does that make any sense?

I cannot find a topic on this anywhere so thank for your help!

Can you point me to a thread on how to do this or is it that difficult?

How to do what?

You'll basically do an Enterprise Activation for your BES e-mail and use the Individual E-mail for your personal account. Depending on who your provider is you'll have to go to their web page in order to set up your personal account.

oh, ok. As I understood it from the corporate tech guy, he said all the email comes through the blackberry software (personal and work).

I dont actually have the 8700c yet, I am getting it on Tuesday so maybe it will clear a lot of things up when I see it.
