So can you be on the internet and on aim at the same time without having to close one and sign back on? A friend of mine said thats how the treo was you had to shut down one to use the other so how about on the blackberry 8700g? does it allow you to do both? and also Is the internet just as good as on the sidekick 2 or better? Thank You.

You can do both simultaneously. ALT+ESC = switching between running applications.

Unless you have an IT policy that locks while you are doing one task, and then Alt-esc won't work.

I've never used a Sidekick, so I can't compare...but I'd imagine the wider screen gives the software a lot more flexibility in terms of being able to display a variety of pages.

The browser is "usable". Renders advanced HTML/CSS poorly, but basic HTML looks good. WAP/XHTML looks good, naturally...but not everything is available on WAP/XHTML.

I had a Sidekick and a Sidekick 2, and the screen was able to display most of the page but in my opinion, the browser seemed restrictive as I was only able to view the homepage (www.danger.com) and only one or 2 other sites. I couldn't view a lot of HTML or even WAP sites on it. It wouldn't load Flash sites at all. The connection would time out and throw all kinds of errors saying it couldn't connect, etc.
