Default new phone

Maybe you an help me. I'm about to enter this new world of cell phone and internet services. I was thinking of a Blackberry but a friend told me I should look into smart phones. I saw a plan at T Mobile for 20 bucks a month for data and 50 bucks for a thousand minutes phone plan. Do these sound reasonble?
The other thing is I have a Mac so to download to my computer I guess I should go with Blackberry or do the new intel macs have the capability to use the windows? Am I in the right forum for this?

Yes, the Tmob plans are very reasonable. Keep in mind the $20 plan is for BIS access only, that is, not access to a BES which sits in front of an Exchange, Domino, or Novell (whatever Novell's mail is called) server.

Thanks for the review, I might go pick up a Q tomorrow.

I've been wanting to switch to another phone for a while now since my 8700c picks up so much background noise, no one can hear me in a mall and barely when I'm driving. Other than that I'm happy with the BB, but I need one that let's me communicate well on voice =/

Tempting to go with VZW's 8703e too...

I'm moving to Miami, Fl soon and everyone there pretty much uses VZW so that's what I want to go with.
