After all the nonsense I had to go through last night to load third party applications now this morning I've noticed my 7130c has a straight vertical line going all the way up/down the right side of the screen. It's not visible when the screen has a background but very noticeable when there's a colorful background. I didn't notice it until I switched to the Dimension theme.

So it looks like I'll be making the trip back to the Cingular store later today to do an exchange after all.

I just returned with the new one.

So far everything's going right on the new one.

It's MUCH faster and apps are loading fine.

I don't want to jinx things but it definetly seems like the first one was just a dud.

Well I just got the "too many apps error" and am getting it on every app from now on.

No way man. That is SO not right... I'm definitely going to hold back for a little while. Two in a row is just a bit fishy.

And an OS reload and I'm back.

I want one of these very badly, but will wait until I hear happy news from people like lgreenberg. I'd expected some early problems.

I may be done with them alltogether.

I keep getting the error.

I'm trying one more OS reload.

What I can't beleive is that no one else is having this issue. Especially since it has now happened on two different devices.

Maybe it's the number of third party apps I've got, or maybe it's one specific one.

Hard to tell.

Is there a specific appication that causes the error?

Doesn't seem to be.

I wish it were that easy.

Well it seems I may have found a fix.

I've only tested it a few times but if I load an application and get the error doing a OS restore fixes it.

So I guess I need to load all my apss then restore the OS.

This is only a temporary fix though. It means anytime I want to install a new application I'll probably have to do the restore. Kind of a pain.

I am not having any problems with my 7130c, I have had mine since Saturday. I have only two additional apps loaded.

I'm threw.

Now I went to install BB Messenger.

The install completed, it says it's installed but the icon is no where on the home screen (no it's not hidden.)

The modules are there, its shows as available to delete in applications but still no icon.

I've tried deleting, reinstalling, battery reset etc.

I'm doing one more OS reload to see if that clears it up if not back to the store it goes and I'll wait for my 8700c replacement to arrive.

And I can't believe a brand new device didn't come with BBMessenger installed by default!

And once again the OS reload fixed it.

Well I've got 19 third party apps installed and they all seem to be working okay.

And with that I'm going to stop. At least I know I can get around the errors by simply reloading the OS. It's just a pain waiting for the load (takes 15 minutes) and then having to do the Enterprise Activation each time after (cabled activation doesn't always work 100%.)

For now I'll keep it.

Wooops, forgot to install BB Spell. :(
