Default BIS 2.0 Sent email

Please Login to Remove!

With the 2.0 upgrade, I now have an icon for my personal email account, an icon for the blackberry email account and the old icon for messages. When I open up the icon for my personal email account and send a new message, it appears both there and in the messages folder.

If I delete from one, it deletes from the other. But... if I send an email from my personal email folder to a group list, the message only appears in the messages folder, not both.

Does anyone see the same behavior or know how to correct the problem?

The messages ribbon is ALL messages whereas the personal account ribbon is just that email account. This is the normal behavior of both ribbions regardless if it makes sense or not.

I think RIM needs to add a new option to hide personal email accounts from the message ribbion similiar to Sent and Filed messages.

But why should email sent to a group list rather than to one or more individual addresses be placed in the messages folder only? If I send to one or more individuals, it winds up in both. That to me is really weird.

I am going through that now. I don't like the 2 email icons I now have after upgrading. Is there a way to have all messages combined into one message folder?

There is a folder called Messages. Check your messages/emails there and hide the other icons.

When I delete messages out of the folder messages...will the messages from the other folders be deleted as well? Thanks for your help.

Yes, they can be treated like short cuts to the same list with different filters set, only once in the filtered messages you can't turn off the filter you have to exit and go into the unfiltered messages app. Additionally, don't think of them as folders, they are not really folders.

Hope this helps.
