Default Sprint 7130e, 2 questions

Please Login to Remove!

I just purchased the 7130e and have some questions.

1. why is www(.)sprint(.)blackberry(.)com not working. are they just down, or has the URL changed?

2. how can I access the internet? I am not with a company that uses the enterprise activation, but I cannot find the internet browser.

If you can help, that would be great!

Let's start with the basics, do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?

Try resending your service books to your handset. Go to Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table>Register Now. This resends the Browser, Download Fun and Setup Internet Email icons. Or go into Desktop Manager>Application Loader and make sure the Browser box is checked. If not, you will need to check that and reload your browser that way. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I originally read that as saying you WERE on a BES.

The website is http://sprint.blackberry.com (notice that you should NOT write "www").

Also Sprint is having major issues with new customers being dropped off the BIS system. I have been out since Sunday night and still dont have email or access to the Webs BIS.

I was down for approximately 24 hours when Sprint "cancelled" my data service for some strange reason, maybe it was a confusion when i was switching numbers/devices within my account but it's back up. and so far i like the 7130e.

I'm with you on that, fizz. Both on the being dropped from data services and on liking the 7130e. I was very skeptical at first, but I look at the 7250 sitting on my desk and don't regret it now. Even when the 8700 finally makes it to Sprint, I'll probably stay put.

Regarding the url address I entered above, looks like they both go to the same place, just the sprint.blackberry address is easier to enter. Thanks for pointing that out ndirish.

the 8700 should be at sprint around September but i'm going to stay put also, i like this all in one to look like a phone since i don't use a bluetooth headset and this already has speakerphone which comes in very handy. still enjoying it with the site that lets me send mp3 files to use as a ringtone and creating my own wallpapers with photoshop. the color on this guy is amazing.

I might get the 8702. I'm not partial to either type of device, and can work equally well on either of them.
