Default Desktop Manager Quits after opening

I've been running DTM 4.1 without problems then for no reason (I can think of) it stopped working.

When it opens, it closes straight away and the tray icon has an 'x' through it (see attached screenshot).

I installed SP1 for DTM 4.1 that didn't help.
I've unistalled DTM including registry entries and all files, no change.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 and Office 2003

I'd be grateful for any suggestions, thanks.

Trinidex,

I've had a similar problem at home and am running a similar setup. In my case, I would get a memory error and a prompt to send a copy of the error message to MS, yada yada. I never bothered to do that.

Yesterday I uninstalled DM and ran an aggressive registry cleaner. After I installed DM and my hardware-specific software, I have not had a return of the problem. I suspect that the it may come from reinstalling the software more than once and having remnants of those installations in the registry.
