Default 8700C - H500 Bluetooth

Please Login to Remove!

Quick question on this, if this is repeated somewhere just help me to point that..

8700C Paired with motorolo H500...

Is this a plug and play ?? assume i have configured 8700c to my H500 and put it in trusted..

if i switch on my H500 in a pairup mode (blue light with no blink) and if i have bluetooth enabled in my 8700c can it pair automatically ?? in other words do i have to everytime go to options->bluetooth->paired devices->RIGHT CLICK->connect ??

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Go to the options screen, then click onscreen/keyboard and set one of your convenience keys to pull up the Bluetooth application. You are able to add this shortcut while you are connected with BT otherwise it will not show up in the available application listing.

yup, i already got my side convenience key set to "Bluetooth On"...

but you still got to technically connect it to the device using keys,rollers..Would it good to get connected to the bluetooth device if you put bluetooth on (given all conditions of things pre-configured)...

You will be prompted to enter a passcode. For most motorola products, it is 0000. Enter that, and you will be paired.

My plantronics 645 will pair with my 8700c automatically when I turn on the 645. Works very well because I do not have to push any buttons on the 8700. I do have the 645 as a trusted device.

It will connect automatically, providing the main power for the bluetooth is on. You do have to sync it initially however. As you mentioned, turn bluetooth, on, then detect device, then hold the power on the headset until the ring turns blue. Accept the device, enter 0000 for the passcode, and voila. It will be all done.

Normally when you turn your headset on after everything is said and done, the bb will ask if you want to accept the connection. You can say yes, and underneath is a checkbox where you can check "Never ask again".

rjhouck...how do you like the 645. I don't like mine as well as the 640. Battery life not as good. The noise cancellation isn't that big an improvement.

caggie01...I agree, the 645 was a disappointment. Not much of an improvement in the noice cancelation. I also hate that it takes longer to connect on incoming calls. I thought I would get used to it but I have not.

I am still looking for a good BT devise that will cancel out most of the background noise with my 8700c. A friend sugested the voyager 510 and I may give it a try. I don't like that it is so big.

I heard the same thing about the 510. I agree about the size, too big. Maybe Plantronics will build a new one with the 640 size and 510 performance with a long battery life...nice to dream.
