Question odd battery problem...help!

Please Login to Remove!

hi,

sorry for posting about battery as there is so many posts about them already but i can't find a problem quite like this in the archives.

so.....my battery seems to take days off!

it is basolutely fine and holds its charge fine (although not as well as i was used to with other models of BB previously) and then usually on the 3rd day it dropps its charge to 30% in a matter of 5 hours with minimal usage.....at 7-8pm the radio usually cuts out as battery too low.....very inconvenient as i'm a midwife on call most days and REALLY can't miss calls!
i charge the blackberry overnight everynight and this only happens approx. every third day.
i have looked at all the tips to preserve battery life and my battery just shouldn't drop charge so quick!!

what do you all say......battery issue or blackberry unit issue??

thanks so much to all you knowledgable people!

I would say that's actually quite appropriate for a battery getting minimum use. The average battery life of a stock battery is about 2 days with heavy use so you're getting a good battery life. However, if you want more time between charges, I suggest an extended battery.

Just to clear that up.

I would say its a battery problem. Depending on who you got your BB through the battery may or may not be in warranty.

Who is your provider and how long since you purchased the device?

hi,
thanks for replies!

have had the device for just over 2 weeks and my provider is tmobile in the UK......

so you seem to think that it is battery related and not unit related?? i'm worried they'll want to send it away and i have to worry about getting a crappy replacement phone!!!

thanks muchly
