Default Opinons of the 7130E from Verizon

Please Login to Remove!

I have an older BB now that I use just for data, I carry a seperate cell phone. I was thinking of seeing if my work will get me a 7130E so I didn't have to carry both. I was wondering how everyone likes that model. I tried it in the store and I did like it.

I really like the Cingular 8700 but would prefer to stick with Verizon.

Thanks

I have the 7130c with Cingular.
It's my 1st ever BB, converted from a Treo 650.
Although I've only had the phone for a week, I already have fallen in love with it.

It's easy to use, very light, and has a great form factor. Much better, IMHO, than the 8700.

Default 7130e

The 7130e from vzw has been great to me, i've had it about a month now, voice quality is superb, the functionality of suretype is outstanding. It took me a week or so to get hang of suretype (i converted from a full qwerty keyboard) but i feel that i am just as quick now.

All in all, great addition to the bb family from vzw. It's a great choice!!

I have had the 7130e for about 8 months now and love it. I travel in an rv all around the country and have not had any problem with the service either data or phone. I use mine to tether to my laptop on a regular basis and it works great doing that. Little trouble getting used to the sure type but once you get used to it, it is great. All in all, great product and service for my needs.

I have a 7130E, yet I am EAGERLY awaiting the release of the 8703 from verizon..what's that tell you. It's a cool device, without question better than the 72xx series. For me it's just an interlude until the 8703..

I've had the 7130e on Verizon since November...not a single issue to report in that time frame.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the ease of use and speed of SureType, and can't imagine I will prefer going back to the full keyboard once the 8703 comes out. The smaller form factor is just too nice when the device is used as a phone.

As far as Verizon service, well, you've made the best choice. The coverage and call-quality really are heads-and-shoulders above all the other carriers and the data speed/coverage isn't even a contest.

As far as getting your e-mail in extended areas...that's a tougher call. My best answer seems to be that it is "carrier-dependent" in as much as I will receive messages in some extended areas, but not in others. I suppose one could do the research to determine which carriers have a data roaming agreement with Verizon in specific areas, but I've never really run into much of a problem in my travels with needing to use the Extended Network.
