Is there any way to set your background as a picture you received in a text message with a BB7130e?

have you tried to save the image? if there is an option to "save image" then it should be able to be set as your background (desktop).

you can't hide ALL of them but you can hide most of them. from your desktop, press and hold ALT and the roller over each icon that you want to remove and you'll see a menu with the option to "hide item". do that for each one, whenever you don't see that option over that icon, that means you can't hide that item.

you can go into "sounds" and just edit the profile that your using to change the ringer, volume and to vibrate, ring, or do both.
