Default Loose keys

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Just want to make sure my T-Mobile 8700g isn't broken: If I put a finger on one of the keys I can jiggle the whole keyboard a little back and forth. All the keys and the front buttons move. It's like the keyboard and button assembly is loose inside and only is held in place by the face plate. It's not a lot of movement, but I can not remember it being that way when I got it. Is this the way it is designed?

Mine unfortunately does that now as well. My first BB from Cingular was perfect. It then broke and I was sent a replacement unit, which unfortunately was a refurbished model. The first one didnt recognize my SIM card, so I had to have ANOTHER replacement sent. The second one did recognize my SIM, but the keyboard, as you described, jiggles and it drives me insane. I hate it, but I dont want to go through the hassle of getting a third replacement unit. Who knows what would be wrong with that one.

I just got my 4th 8700 (I've had a lot of problems). This new one has the loosest keyboard yet but I don't think it's a big issue. Typing seems to be fine.

I'm posting back because I realise that my new keyboard really is loose. This is my 4th 8700 (!) so I'm not returning it unless I absolutely have to.
It's kind of wierd but I don't actually think that it's hurting my typing at all. It just looks strange to see the red and green phone buttons move around when I'm typing.
