The 7130e is a BB phone. You would need to put the BB Data package on it. Who ever you talked to was wrong.

i was confused to, so i asked why the plan on their website said $39.99 and she said that thats includes video mail and picture mail which isnt compatible with the 7130e, so theres no point paying for it.

The plan itself is called "Blackberry Unlimited Plan" - #39.99 p/month.

Any other plan cheaper than that for the blackberry is just text messaging in different increments.

Wirelessly posted (NakedBerry: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/Palm-D052; Blazer/4.5) 16;320x320)

I used my 7250 for six months with a regular vision plan. I had a BIS account and all the features in the Blackberry specific data plan. Most reps didn't know the plan was required and I was never charged for its use.

they're (non sprint) call centers, don't take their word for it. go to a sprint store and speak to a real rep.

Yeah, that jives with my understanding...
That being said, I got the $39.99 plan knocked down to $13/month through customer retention...but thats another story involving a ppc-6700 and some questional tech support agents.
