chinasaur, i dont like you

look im going to make contacting tmobile very easy, call in and ask for blackberry support or pda, 98% of the time, the store reps, email response team and front line customer care have no idea about data devices, they know billing and basic handsets, anything beyond that, dont even ask

OZ im is sms
other IM apps are as stated above on an app by app basis, ex IM+ advertises they count as data
The IM apps from the blackberry help! site are data, ex. bb msgr, yahoo
The 19.99 bis add-on and 29.98 bis/bes DO NOT include sms, maybe a few yrs ago if you have an older plan but dont anymore
The blackberry min, mail n more plans do include some sms and some are even unlimited.
The blackberry 29.98 bis n 39.98 bis/bes data only plans do not include any sms
If your n some kind of corporate acct you usually get 500 sms

Hope this helps

Oh and dont change your sms sending network to gprs, oz im might be free but your text messages, vm indicators n anything sent from the tmobile systems like min checking will fail

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I just sent an email to the jivechat folks and got their message client which (I believe) uses internet instead of sms.
