Anyone know how to turn off caller ID so that my number does not appear on the phone off the person I am calling?

Click on Phone -> Options -> General Options -> Restrict my Identity -> Yes

This is how I've always done it on Cingular and it works for me. Maybe your carrier doesn't allow that option to be used?
