Default 7105t Can't Accept/Decline Meeting Requests

Please Login to Remove!

Hello:

I am having a problem with two different 7105ts (T-Mobile) being able to ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’ Outlook meeting requests. Both are using BES.

If I send a meeting request to both 7105ts, and a 7290 (also T-Mobile), I can open the meeting request in the 7290 and ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’ it, and, once opened, the message header on the 7290 reads: “Meeting Request.”

When I open the same meeting request on the 7105ts, one of them consistently does not give the option to ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’ the meeting, and the header does not read: “Meeting Request.” For all intents and purposes, it appears that the BB only sees it as an email to which one can only reply. The other 7105t sporadically gives the option to ‘Accept’ or “Decline”, but sometimes behaves like the other one and only sees it only as an email. The header also consistently does not read: “Meeting Request.”

On the 7105t that consistently does not give the option, I have upgraded its OS to the current available at T-Mobile, upgraded the Desktop Manager to the most current; and reformatted the BB. It sill will not work.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

What version of BES are you using? Do you have wireless calendar sync setup on all three of the devices? Do any calendar events at all sync OTA if you enter one in on the BB or in Outlook?

Sorry, but is it true on your Blackberry, if you receive a task, one can accept/decline? I've never seen that option...

Navilyn - if you are on BES 3.6 or higher, with Wireless Calendar Sync enabled, you can accept/decline/tentative meeting requests (not tasks). It is only if you are on a BES.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7100/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Thanks NJblackbeery. As Jar Jar Binks would say, "you've saved my again"... Its a shame about Tasks, I get so many a day...

Thanks, all.

I'll check the calendar and ensure that it is set to sync wirelessly. The 7290's is, but I'll have to check the 7105ts. If it is, and I still can't get it to work, I'll check the BES version. We have a new BES that I may have it moved to, if nothing else works.

I saw somewhere that pushing new Service Books from the BES might work too -- thoughts on that?
