Default nextel 7100i

Please Login to Remove!

i just upgraded to a 7100i from a i930
when i recieve an SMS the text is all garbled and i can't read it, any ideas?

this is more of a rant...

i called nextel to find a price and they tell me its $50/mo. for unlimited internet/email.. to me that is ridiculouly overpriced. i pay $50 for my unlimited nextel/sprint broadband card for my laptop and its broadband speed (EVDO). currently i dont have a blackberry plan, but the 7100i still has internet (i can open website url, etc) just no email... i still have the regular unlimited data plan on my account

i just can't believe how expensive this is when its basically as slow as dialup.. had it been EVDO speed like my nextel broadband card i would consider, but in the meantime, i'll stick with just my browser interent on my blackberry with no email.. which only costs $10 extra for unlimited data. i wouldn't mind paying maybe $20, but $50 is a bit overpriced, in my opinion of course.

it is still dial-up speed if i was to consider a blackberry plan i assume?

I am on the SERO Nextel plan. $30 for 500 min., unlimited 2-way and $19.99 for unlimited data. Not a bad deal.

Sucks that you can't have service then try to change to sero.

NEXTEL is ridiculously expensive on their data plans. I was able to get mine cut in half ($25) by threatening to close the account, but that's only an option if you are still in the 15 day trial period (30 for CA).

I got the 7510 for $100 with a $100 mail-in rebate when they were about to release the 7520. At that time the BlackBerry plan was $39.99 with a $5.00 discount for Voice and Data combo.

Now, i signed 2 people up at my office and they're paying $49.99. I think it's ridiculous also.

But now I am leaving this company and I couldn't pass up the SERO plan, so I jumped on it!

There are ways around it if you're in an existing commitment. (*cough* Port to sprint then port back to nextel *cough*)
