Is this my week or what? One of the partners, got a 7130c, and thus gave me his 7100g (Cingular)...

Question is this, is it worth me getting it unlocked, and using it on T-Mobile? Albeit, I presently have a 7100t, but...

Other than physical appearance, there's no difference in the two devices.
To me it wouldn't be worth paying $100 bucks to get it unlocked just so you have a different looking phone.

Ah, but I just called Cingular, and now, wait for it....

...my 7100g is UNLOCKED! I can't believe they give me the subsidy code, over the phone! Must be my English accent...

ps: I've tested it, and it works too...

So it is only the appearance difference. Nothing else is different.

...so far. Am presently updating the software on the handheld to the latest. Once done, I will verify if I can get on the internet, get emails, etc, etc...

One major difference between the 7100g & 7100t is on the G the vibrate is MUCH MUCH louder, and you can really feel it...

Anyone agree?
