Default New Message notification is wrong 8700g

Hey yall,

I'm pretty new to BB so forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere. My issue is this(8700g):

The New Message Icon has an incorrect number of unread new messages and it seems like this number magically goes up every few days. For example, right now it says I have 15 new messages, but i've checked all my inboxes and I dont have any new messages.

My 2 email accounts are configured as follows:

1)gmail is pushed to xx.tmo.net and the 'reply to' is also my .gmail.com account.

2)my personal email account is set up using BIS, thus the slight, but acceptable delay in message delivery.

Any ideas why my BB thinks I have new unread messages when I really dont?

Thanks,
E

In Messages, click the wheel and select Options. Under Options, check the settings for Hide Filed Messages. You may have unread Filed (Saved) messages.

Also, I could SWEAR there's someplace to Hide/Display phone calls in Messages, but I can't find it now! You can view them if you click the wheel in Messages, select View Folders, and select the Phone Call Logs folder to see if you have unread messages there.
