Default Charging port

I am looking to buy a Blackberry off ebay and apparently the charging port is not working properly. Everything else works fine, but the charging port does not. Does this mean the entire charging port does not work, including the USB charging port?

I've only known the USB to be the charging port. If thats the case, what are you going to do with a dead BB?

Why would you even consider buying a BB that won't charge. You can purchase a brand new 7230, 7290, or 7105t from T-Mobile for $99 with contract. Otherwise, there's some great deals that you can find on this forums buy sell trade thread or even on craigs list. Good luck.
