Question Loud ringer - revisited

Please Login to Remove!

I have read previous posts suggesting that version .284 would fix this problem, as well as setting the speakerphone volume down to reduce my really loud ringer, but neither of these seem to do the trick. Is my 8700r just abnormally loud?

The .284 OS does not make the speakerphone quieter - just the opposite. It makes it louder. The original bug was that when you use speakerphone and end the call while using it, it will change your earpiece volume to whatever level the speakerphone was at when you ended that call, and if it was low, then the earpiece volume would be low, until you use speakerphone again and turn it up, then end the call. The new OS fixes that issue, as well as providing an overall volume INCREASE across the board. So if you were looking for a lower volume on your BB, you achieved the opposite with the upgrade.

Thanks Seattle18, but I never had a problem with a quiet ringer on the older version. I have not noticed any difference since the upgrade ... it's always been LOUD.
