When I got my 7130e I didn't wanna be bothered with the Suretype so I disabled it. Now I like using it but I can't figure out how to enable it permanently, I have to enable each time. Does anyone know how I can go back in and enable it?

When you typing a message, hold down the # key. it was get rid of the suretype.

I thought it was hold down * (asterisk)?

I'm not trying to get rid of it I am trying to make Suretype default again.

I had the same problem as you. Try going to Options/Language/Input Method, and see what it says. Mine was reporting English United States-Multitap, while the other option was simply English (United States). Choosing other than 'multi-tap' was the trick to get SureType back for me.

Right, if it's presently 'multitap', hold down the *! Also, this is what you use for quick easy swapping of 'multitap' & 'suretype'...

That works if you are in edit mode (editing an e-mail or task or note). It will not work from the home screen.

Yes, multitype, as in the name, you have to press more keys to get the respective words that you want. As with suretype, the device helps you; almost like T9...
