Default Using the BB as a modem

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to use my BB 8700 on the Cingular Edge network as a modem for my laptop running win xp. this is useful when there is no wifi in the area!

I followed the detailed instructions on the Cingular site onlinecare.cingular.com/support/setupOTW.do?universe=cingular&make=RIMBlackBerry&m odel=8700c[/url]
but could not get it to work. Has anyone else set this up and have any tips?

Thanks,

Randhir

Hi folks - welcome to BB Forums.

There are some excellent Sticky Thread FAQs at the top of the General BlackBerry Discussion forum. One of them is specifically about using your BlackBerry as a modem.

I suggest you check it out and see if you find what you need there.
