Default HTML email??

Using the 7100g and BWC, how does the phone handle HTML email?

I am planning to use BWC to forward my work (IMAP) and personal (AOL) email. Most of my friends and family use AOL for personal email, and unfortuantely all AOL outgoing emails are in HTML format -- even when you just write plain text, their email program converts it to HTML email. The result is that the email program in most regular phones, and even some smartphones, just displays a blank email with nothing in the body. Will this be a problem or does the email program on the blackberry either convert the HTML email to plain text, or better yet can you view HTML email?

Also, what about embedded pictures? (as opposed to an attached picture which I know the 7100g can support)

I can never view HTML mail either. All I get is a MIME attachment I can't view.

I've always assumed that's how BWC works (and strangely, since text versions are typically also included). But if others are able to read HTML mail, then I'll complain to T-Mobile to straighten things out.

To be clear, The BlackBerry Web Client can display HTML formatted e-mail. Forwarded to the BlackBerry itself is only Plain Text, HTML is stripped.

That is fine. The HTML part of AOL email is just in the fancy text formatting (i.e. color, font size & style, etc). It would be fine if I just see the plain text. What I cannot live with is if I am unable to read the text at all.

Perhaps someone here can let me know their blackberry email address and I can just send them a test email to see what happens? I would really appreciate it. :D

Then I can also post the results in case anyone else cares to know this as well.

anhloc was nice enough to give me his email address and I sent him an AOL email using colorful large itallic fonts in HTML format. The blackberry web client converted all the fonts to plain text and everything was perfectly readable.

So it looks like I will be ordering a 7100g from eaccess first thing tomorrow!

This is not working for me when I recieve my BES e-mails. All that I am seeing is HTLM code, and the message is not readable at all. What should I do? Thanks!

I used to be able to view HTML email as an attachment but have noticed I no longer have an option to "open attachment" in the menu and therefore cannot view the message body of HTML email. I wonder if this has come about since installing BES for GroupWise SP2 and then Hotfix 2.

Anyone else had this problem?
