Okay so I just received my BB 8700G today... I had the 7105t... I do the whole thing with my sim card and go online to change the pin and all that good stuff... To try to make this a short story, I'm not receiving any e-mails... from anybody, not even customer care!! I was on the phone with BB support from about 8:30pm - now as i type (1:41am) off and on... the problem has yet to be fixed, every1 keeps saying something different and I'm pissed... they tried to connect me to RIM twice and lets not get into that HOLD TIME!! Did anyone experince this...
It shouldn't be this much of a proble to switch from the tmobile 7105t to the tmobile 8700g....
There is obviously something wrong with the device. Take it back tomorrow, with time to spare, and don't walk out until they get it up and running and you receive a few test emails directly to your device, and can surf the web, etc.
two things to try. If you are on BIS, log into your acct and send service books. Also, on the device go to options/advanced settings/host routing table/click the wheel and choose register, click the wheel again.
First I would like to say that I am a PocketPC convert and I love my BB.
Now, if I were a betting man, and I am, I would say the tech sent the service books. I had the same problem until I went to the web page and sent the service books to my BB.
