I just got the 7130e (vzw) a few days ago and noticed when talking, the back battery door cover gets warm as well as the screen. I mean its not hot, but just warm. Is that normal?

Depends on how reception is where you are using the phone. Weaker tower signal reception requires greater transmitting power on the part of your Blackberry device. If you are using the phone in a fringe area, you can expect the battery to warm up slightly during use. This is normal.

Phone shows full 1xEV signal. Right now I have been on the phone for 45mins...and the unit is warm (mostly from the battery).

Where the earpiece is feels warm and the battery door is warm to hot.

i've had mine for about 3 weeks and never felt the battery to be warm unless i was using it and holding it in my hand.

Hmm...the battery seems to be hot when in use, and the area around the headset as well. I'm still within the 15 day exchance/return policy so I'll just exchange it in for another one.

I use a vzw 7130e as a phone for an hour at a time often and never noticed any heating problem.

You may have a faulty unit.

I just exchanged it and so far it seems like its fine! Also it came with the latest software version, and seems more solid than my previous 7130e.
