Default Unread messages - OK but where?

Please Login to Remove!

This is driving me nuts.

I see that there are 4 unread messages however I can't find them. I mean since yesterday I've been going through all my messages but can't find them.

Is there a feature where I can sort messages based on the status?

Any other way to locate unread messages? Thanks for any help.

Check in your Saved Messages. They are probably there.

And, if that does not fix it, and you are with Cingular, turn the unit off, remove the battery and the sim. Then put it all back together, and turn it on. It should be gone now...

A boss here has a 7130c, and it did that the second day he got it. After doing the NJBlackBerry said, that did not clear it. Spoke with Cingular, and they said to remove the sim, etc, etc...

are you sure they're actual messages and not just something in your call log? this happened on someone's 8700 and I changed the call log settings to not show calls that way.

If you checked the Envelope icon and you don't have messages there (scroll to the top of the messages list and choose "Mark Prior Opened" just to be sure), just pull the battery. They will disappear.

Why does this happen?

I have found this will happen in the following situation:
You get some new messages.
The unit looses connectivity.
You read the messages.
The "message read" toggle is sent, but since the unit has lost connectivity the
toggle is lost.
Almost all times, once the unit has signal again the "messages read" toggle will
successfully go through. Sometimes, you have to pull the battery.

This, by the way, is my own personal way of explaining the odd behavior - I could be totally wrong.

My 7130c has done that to me about 3 times already. I have had it for a week! Ha. Siara...just to make it easier...you may not have to take out the sim, just remove the battery for a few seconds and then put it back in. It should do the trick.
