Exclamation 7290 - not synching calendar items

Please Login to Remove!

I am a desktop support tech, who supports several hundred users. One of my users (the assistant to the CEO, unfortunately), has been having this annoying problem that just will not go away. She synchs multiple calendars (her own and the CEO's) on the device. Approximately once a month, the manual synch will stop synching her boss's calendar items. During the synch, it will search through both his and her calendars, but it will not detect any changes from her boss's calendar.
- both calendars are still listed in the PIM settings
- nothing has changed in her Outlook profile
A temporary fix has been to remove and recreate her Outlook profile, and make sure that the Desktop Manager is pointing to the new profile in her PIM settings. But the problem comes back, about once a month. Hey, I have no problem recreating her Outlook profile once a month, but she's the assistant to the CEO, and I really do not want to piss them off. What could cause this to keep happening, and how can I make it stop? Calls to Research In Motion have been utterly disappointing. HELP!

I'm kind of curious how multiple calendars on one blackberry work. I have to assume you've flattened BOTh calendars onto ONE calendar on the BB..

do you use Exchange?

Does this user have the latest version of the Desktop manager? Always upgrade to the latest one (4.1 is latest IMO)

If you use Exchange, the BB DTM stores data in the Cached Exchange folders. Turn off, then turn off cached exchange mode if this is how the calendars are being synched

Perhaps others can add to this.. but i wouldn't mind knowing how you sync multiple calendars =)

BES or no BES?

We are in a BES and MS Exchange environment (I believe the BES is version 4.01?.. definitely over version 4). None of the users here use cached mode in Outlook. It is possible to synch multiple calendars onto one Blackberry. All items appear in one view, mixed in. This is a common practice in my office among administrative assistants who keep tabs on their executive bosses.
Yes, I installed the latest version available of Blackberry Desktop Mgr (4.1.1.9). Actually, I completely uninstalled whatever Blackberry software was on the machine (includuing removing the Research In Motion folders, both from her C:\Documents and Settings\user, and from her C:\Program Files, and removed appropriate keys from HKCU and HKLM in the registry before reinstalling Desktop Manager.

Default Exchange Maint??

Maybe there is something going on at the exchange level. Since it happens without fail every month, it almost behaves like a permissions based problem. Are you required to change your PWs every 30 days? Those are just a couple of things to look at maybe.
