Great find!! The skin worked great with my Treo 650. I might consider that skin though.

Great find!! It would be nice if the skin had the magnet in it. The skin worked great with my Treo 650. I might consider that skin though.
What is the purpose of the magnet?

I cant see the magnet being of any use on a case like this.. If it had the magnet, your BlackBerry would constantly be off..?

Magnets are only needed if the device comes out and goes into the case frequently. This case is static, meaning it would never come out, and thus, no magnet necessary.

The magnet is a switch that shuts the screen down / Hangs up a call (if configured) when you place the device into the holster. Imporves battery life overall a little bit. More useful on the 6700/7200 series where the screen doesnt have a timeout like the 8700/7100 series.

For work, my BB is in and out of my pouch constantly answering emails and phone calls. I do like the skin better than the pouch or holster.

So you are saying you would take it in and out of the skin to use it? The skin is designed to let you use it while its in the skin. Notice the keyboard, trackwheel, and speaker have ready access?

Again, no need for a magnet on a skin-type case.

Am I missing something?

I wouldn't take it in and out of the skin. Give me a break I wasn't born yesterday. I just said that I take it in and out of my pouch all day which is a pain. That's why I like skins.
I think with all of the back and forth you got lost.

Does lint tend to stick to these cases like many of the other silicone/rubber skins?

The one that is listed is black and there was no mention of any other colors on the listing for the 8700g.

I've pre-ordered an extended battery for my 8700g. Will that fit with the silicone skin as well?

Yes, lint sticks to silicone skins. No matter the skin it seems. I usually take a damp paper towel and just wipe mine off.

Didn't you suggest that "it would be nice if the skin had the magnet in it"?

Sorry, like all my other requests....still waiting on the holster for a skinned 8700g combo with the black skin....if you can let us/me know if you have it in the works and an ETA for it, that would be great.
