Default Stop the pivot?

Please Login to Remove!

Has anybody been able to stop the keyboard pivot on their 8700? I'm just got a replacement 8700c (first one kept going SOS on me but the keyboard was tight) and the new one has the dreaded keyboard pivot. I'm too anal want to fix it but how? I've seen the disassemble pics in an earlier thread. Do I need to glue something?

I'll be honest - I don't even know what "keyboard pivot" means. Does it wiggle? Is it too stiff?

Since I don't understand it, I can't say if I've fixed it!

Thanks...

An 8700c with wiggle? Most of the 8700 threads are about 8700cs with a keyboard that is too tight, and the 8700g has the wiggle!

There are probably fifty threads of people talking about the loose keyboard. I haven't heard about anyone "fixing" it. I also have a bit of OCD, once you start typing, you won't even notice it anymore.

I've noticed that some people have certain 'physical' issues with their BB devices than others. I've heard a lot of people mention the loose battery cover yet mine has no problems. I'm sure though, soon enough, a problem will come up on mine. I know with TM, I have a month to bring the phone back if it doesn't work. (Think my month is almost up) but afterwards I can go to the TM 800# and they *should* replace it no? Won't other companies do this? Why should people suffer with a device that's less than perfect.
