Hello guys, smashing forum this is my first post!

I recently bought a new 8707 as an upgrade to my current Vodafone contract and thus far I am very happy with it.

As I understand it the 8707 is able to send/receive MMS, reading through the small instruction manual with my unit it says simple go into SMS/MMS hit the side roller wheel and select compose MMS to send a Multi Media Message but this option isn’t on the list compose SMS but not MMS.

Also I am not able to receive MMS’s I have had a number sent to me but not one has come through to my 8707, if I remove the SIM and place it in my old Motorola V70 and send a MMS it comes straight though pointing the finger at the 8707 and not with Vodafone.

Lastly I am not discoverable on Bluetooth even when I switch Bluetooth on and set it to discoverable I am still unable to be found.

Do you guys think I have a faulty unit or are the little problems with me the operator, I look forward to some advice.

I dont know the 8707 but the compose MMS option should be there. Call Vodafone tech support. That's my best advice.

Not speaking to Vodafone, but my T-Mobile 8700g has a MMS service book. Is it possible MMS service is provisioned as well?

For 8707v on Voda UK, MMS is not provisioned.
Don't know why yet, apparently at Voda UK's request (!), but this may not be true.
I am waiting for my contact to reach a high enough level to get an answer - tech support just say MMS doesn't work for them either.

The best I have from Voda UK to date is "Yes, we are selling a product that doesn't do what it says on the box" (cue Ronseal .....

I'm stunned as I was standing in the Vodafone shop for 45mins on Friday while they tried to sort the problem out.

Somebody with a bit of product knowledge would be good, I cant help but feel a little short changed if this is the case concidering sending the unit back as I have the option after 14 days!
