Angry 7100T Set up email problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

Iíve been reading this forum for a while now and after contacting T-Mobile and no resolution I decided to post it here.

I had a 7105t previously which I returned to T-mobile because it had problems with volume. Since, I had terrible experience (took 4 months to get refund from T-Mobile after they received my phone), I decided to buy a used phone this time and have no contract.

Itís been about a week since I contacted T-Mobile with this issue. I was told that it would be corrected within 72 hours and obviously it didnít. I am worried since I am going out of country in two weeks and my business will rely on this blackberry.

Here is the problem I am having with the phone:

When I go to tools>email set up from my blackberry phone, I get to a Ďt-zonesí page asking me to select a time-zone. When I select PST, it takes me to a page that simply says Ďloginí on it and nothing else. No icons, no space to log in or set up a new email account.

I also tried by logging in to the T-Mobile website and doing it that way. So, I log in and go to email set up, but once I get to confirm the code, and once I click on confirm or yes, it logs me out and takes me to a front page.

T-Mobile reps have tried this also and get the same issues. They had forwarded it to the advanced team and no word.

While itís going on its 8th day of reporting this issue with T-Mobile, I am very worried about this.

Has anyone had any experiences with this? Know of a way to fix it?

Your help is very much appreciated!

Regards,
Anita

You are selecting Tools from the home screen, then selecting Setup Internet E-mail? And it opens the browser to the t-zones page? If so, ??????

Yes. I go to tools>set up internet email and it brings up time Time Zones...so then it gives me options to choose from and i choose PST. Then it brings up a page where it says 'login'. No way to log in because all it has is empty page with text login.

I still didn hear back from T-Mobile and I am getting worried. My business will really go bad if I dont get this fixed and i am soo nervous!.

I really appriciate any help that I get from this forum.

Thank you!

This doesn't make any sense to me....wait a minute....when I did this before, I got a regular page (not browser) where I was prompted for email address and password....now, just checked, and I'm getting a wap page at bis.t-mobiel.com. There's a heading, Services, with a link below, E-mail Accounts; and below that another heading, Settings, with links below, Change Handheld, and Service Books. But no prompt for time zone. Anyway, that's what I'm getting on my 7100t with T-Mobile right now.

Verify connectivity.
Verify that you have been provisioned with the correct data plan.
Kill the firewall.

Restart the unit by pulling the battery and re-push the service books (on Verizon to repush is *22899, someone on this forum can probably help you if TMobile is different...).

I'm grasping for ideas, but have you tried hard reboot, or going to the My T-Mobile web page and re-sending your service books?

I am having this same issue so if anybody knows how to fix it I would really appreciate it.

little info on mine, when I try to setup my email account I get the same thing as he did, I bought this phone used, and I am still receiving the other persons emails, so some how they are still attached to the phone. I called TMobile and they told me to have the other person delete their email account and it should work, not true. Me and this lady can not get this problem solved threw tmobile tech team, and really want this issue resolved. I have tried and look at every little option on my BB (7105t), I wiped the hand held, and even took the battery out for an hour, and if anybody could be assistance I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Ryan
