Recently upgraded to Telstra and now I don't see SMS messages in my regular inbox any longer. I do remember seeing them there before the upgrade. Is that unique to Telstra or is that a setting I'm missing??

What theme are you using?

Oops - BB Dimension Zen.

This is my first post, but I have been reading these forums for a while now and they are great. I wanted to add on to the question abuot SMS. I also installed Telstra on my 8700c, and immediately after the install, the option to SMS was completely gone. You can usually SMS from anywhere by clicking and choosing SMS, but that option has completely disappeared, and now I only see the call and email option in the menu.

Can anyone help, please?

I have Telstra OS and I have an sms option. Did you try pulling the battery out for 15-30 seconds? If not try that and see if that fixes the issue.

Obvious: resent the service books?

Cheers

Took the battery out, resent service books and still no SMS. I am on BES, could it be that they have removed the SMS function from my device? Is that possible? I checked the Security settings, and it says it was last updated on 7/15.

I feel like the thread has been hijacked. :) My original question wasn't about SMS not being an option. I have SMS, but they all used to come to the same messages window where all my email comes. Now I have to go to a completely different folder to VIEW SMS messages. Telstra, Dimension Zen. Anyone have any ideas?

I like separate folders for emails and SMS. That's the way they look in Zen and Vodaphone themes.

Yes thats how the theme is set up. Two folders one for email and the other for sms.

If you want to view all your messages including your sms ones in area instead of seperate ones then don't use the Zen theme. That's the way the theme is set up... it displays your sms/mms messages in a seperate place than your emails and pins.

Indeed. It's a theme issue, not an OS issue.

That's one of the things I like about the Zen theme!!

:-)
