Ok so here is the deal, I have upgraded the OS on my 8700c several times, currently using telstra. I have also changed the housing with a new kit from promobility. I was EXTRA careful when changing to the new housing not to lose, break, bend, snap or crack any parts, especially internally. The issue I now have is my mic is not working, I can hear people just fine but no one can hear me on the other end and I have tested this out myself. I am 100% I do NOT have mute on... I seriously doubt this was the OS change but do any of you BB aficionado's have any idea what could be causing this??? Thanks....

I know the earpiece is connected by two small gold contacts and I believe the mic is connected the same way. If those gold contacts are off even by a hair, it won't work. Try opening the phone up again and making sure the contacts are properly seated.

tried that just now, still no dice?? I'm perplexed.....
