Question The dreaded "More Available"...

Please Login to Remove!

I did a search but can't find anything on this.

Once in a while I get an email message which is incomplete, and at the end it says "More Available: X bytes". I open the menu and click "More", nothing happens. I Click "More All", nothing happens.

How can I get the rest of the message? Or better yet, how do I get it to download the ENTIRE message every time.

I'm getting email on my blackberry account (BIS 2.0) forwarded from another server(which forwards the entire email). Running Bharti on 8700c.

Thanks!

I have had this message before also and usually always turns out to be a problem on the Blackerry servers.

Whenever I click More All, it usually takes one to two full minutes before the rest of the data downloads. I suggest just giving it more time.

I get this problem when I am using the PocketDay mail app. I have to exit PocketDay and go to the regular BB program to see the rest of the message.

Hey, just had this problem today and it was an important message. I also have auto more selected to "Yes." I had nothing in the email I received today, just this:

----More----
1874 bytes

I've had this problem a few times since getting my BB. Any other ideas out there?

If it is a problem with the BB servers will the data appear eventually or is it lost unless you message the person back, asking them to resend it?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

When ever this happens to me (seldom), I just wait a moment, like going to the next unread message and try again. By then it downloads the entire message. I haven't had the experience when I couldn't retrieve a message at all.

This happens to me too. Sometimes I get the email again as a new unread email and this time the whole email will be there OR I will go back to the same email and it will be there. But it usually always takes a few minutes and sometimes it doesn't even work.

Its confirmed from RIM that this is related to the BIS 2.0 delays seen by many users and discussed in other threads. They escalated it a few days ago but unknown when a resolution will be found. Also, service books sent from BIS 2.0 are delayed.

Hah, this is so funny because I was about to start a thread on this yesterday as well, but forgot. I had the same issue where I wasn't able to get More, yet Auto More was on. About 5 minutes later, it did automatically bring the rest of the message through.

WHSBUSS: I don't really have any issues with getting service books on 2.0 with Tmo. I've got an 8700g since it first came out and 7290 before that, and no problems either. Are you with Cingular?

The same thing happens to me when I open attachments. If I open the attachment and escape out of it while it is downloading, it will continue to download in the background. When it's finished, the email is re-marked as unread.

I'm with Verizon on a 7130e. I can confirm the service book delay issues today as it was happening w/Rim support on the line. It may have resolved itself now.

In any case, on this thread http://blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=41382 someone mentioned that an upgrade to BIS 2.1 is expected in the next 2 weeks.

my experience and "fix" as well, with tmo. this seems to be occurring more frequently of late, typically when multiple messages are retrieved at once (e.g. forum updates).
