I just got my phone today! I was wondering if you can have sub-categories in the contacts area? I want to split them up between Personal Phone Contacts and Business Contacts. I've been reading and reading and cant figure out how to do it.

Thanks guys

In your address book, click on the track wheel, select "New Group", name the group and then start adding your members.

I figured I could do it that way. I just have MANY contacts to transfer. I was wanting to transfer the business contacts from Microsoft Outlook and everytime I try to do it that way it doesnt separate them. It just adds them to the main contact list.

This may not be what you're asking about, but are you assigning contacts to categories in Outlook? If you are, you can click in the BB addressbook, select Filter and view by category. This works well enough for me, but my needs are simple

I think, then, while they are all together in your contacts, you can filter the list so you only see your "home" or "work" ones.

Just out of curiosity, though, is this something you do a lot? I have about 500 contacts, and I never scroll through them--just punch the first couple letters of the first or last name, and usually the one I want is right on top--not too many to pick from.

I have 2800 contacts and typing the first couple of letters always gets the choice to 5-8 and I use the speed dial for my most frequent ones.
