Default screen dims at random in the middle of use

hey guys. for some reason my 8700g screen dims in and out while im in the middle of doing things on it... can anyone tell me why?

Nevermnind its cuz the settings were on dim every thirty seconds

nevermind. i didn't find a fix. the setting i found is for the phone to go into it's sleep mode or whatever... does anyone have fix for this? it's geting annoying !

It's a light sensor feature. It detects how much light there is and adjusts the backlight accordingly. I think it's real annoying. Go to Options/Screen Keyboard and turn Automatic Backlight off.

Stop moving your finger over the service indicator light and it won't dim (provided you stay in the same lighting).
