Default Automatic dialing of DTMF numbers ?

Please Login to Remove!

I am often on conference calls and have long thought that automatic dialing of DTMF numbers, those extra digits that control pass codes for telephone banking, voicemail etc. have been a God sent. I had no problem setting them up on my previous devices but couldn't figure out how to do it on the Blackberry 8700. I just wanted to be able to dial a number and then have the DTMF tones dialed automatically.

When you program your phone number, you can either use the comma and/or period keys to create a wait or a pause (one's automatic, the other waits for you to press a button). If you prefer, you can also insert the pause or wait by clicking the track whell while you're in the field where you program the number, and insert pause or insert wait.

I have a weekly conf call, and have things programmed this way. I prefer the pause, but have to use a few in a row, because our conf system takes a long time before it's ready for the passcode...
