Unhappy Problem with Desktop Manager

Please Login to Remove!

I installed the newest Blackberry Desktop manager on my laptop then connect my blackberry 8700g to upgrade the os since i just bought the phone andd I love the Zen themes. I says connected but when I click to launch Application Loader, here is what it said: "No system software was found on your device. Contact your syste, administrator or service provider for information on obtaining device software"
What have I done wrong? Did I miss anything, has anyone had such a problem like this
ps: I tried to unistall and re-install the software as far as restart my computer and the blacberry but it just won't work...

First thing to do is to make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest handheld OS to your PC.

Then locate and delete "VENDOR.XML" from your PC C: drive

Restart Desktop Manager - it should work now.

I am having the same issues but do not understand what you mean by "download and install the latest handheld OS to the PC" - can someone help me on how to do this ?
