Unhappy Help wanted please for Blackberry 8700v

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a Blackberry 8700v i only bought it for becuase i read on the Blackberry website that it is wireless data acess.I could not loacte in in the options for any wifi options.I wanted to ask is it a wifi enabled phone.I did not also have the web browser so i contacted Vodafone so i have sent the phone to them to downlaod the broswer for me will the option be in there.

(As wirrten on the website)

It is not WiFi. No BlackBerrys are WiFi, with the exception of the WiFi only 7270. They use your carriers network to get Internet access.

You MUST have a BlackBerry Data Plan from your carrier before you can do anything with the BB beyond voice and SMS. No clue why you sent your phone to Vodafone.

When you access the internet and email, it's being done wirelessly, so it has wireless data access. If they meant it had WIFI, they would have listed that it was 802.11a/b/g compatible.
