My keyboard moves but it doesn't bother me. Light leaking out? never noticed.Squeaking? never noticed. It feels a little delicate but I've dropped mine many times but i dont have and problems with it. i have skin on mine (best skins ever.com) but those other issues seem petty to me.

Mine has been dropped, banged around, tossed from the holster, kicked and stepped on a bit and the only thing that has resulted is some minor scratches. The keyboard does move around a bit but it does not bother me at all. The 8700g has stood up better than my RAZR which I use on the weekends. I have to say that it is constructed pretty well. Then again I have been lucky and I am not a hyper picky person.

I just got a t-mobile 8700g a week and a half ago. construction is tight, no squeaks, keyboard keys are also tight w/no shifting, and no light leaks. It may be that some early models had these quality issues, and BB addressed the complaints. I think if you get one that was recently made, it'll be good. If you get one, make sure your provider gives you one that was recently made, not a unit that's been sitting in their store for 9 months.
